Magister JFT | E-Law started in 2005 and is the chamber for students who are following the international LLM, Law and Technology. This is an English-taught Master’s degree and our chamber and committee consists of an international group of students.

During the year we organise activities related to Law and Technology including privacy and data protection, Intellectual Property, cybercrime, information and communications technology (ICT), biotechnology, AI and e-commerce. Our events take place in different formats such as seminars, workshops, office visits and study trips. These activities are naturally interesting for the Law and Technology students but also help prepare our students for future careers in the field and boost our networking. Our chamber prides itself on our study related activities, but there is also a space and time to relax and get to know our fellow students! We often collaborate with LTMS, the department of Law, Technology and Markets. With them we organise a kick-off at the beginning of the academic years and winter celebrations at the end of the first semester. This is a fantastic opportunity for (new) students to get to know one another as well as the lecturers in our programme. As we have a diverse student body from many different backgrounds, we strive to keep all of our events accessible to everyone, as well as from other Magister JFT chambers. All of our activities are offered in English.

Our chamber has one committee. This is the Privacy and Data Protection committee. Our committee is in place to keep up with digitization and the legal requirements set out in the GDPR. They also help Magister JFT comply with the privacy and data protection regulations. Our committee is accessible to other chambers of the association and is prepared to answer any questions relating to privacy and data protection.
