Magister JFT I Juribes

Magister JFT | Juribes is the chamber for all Public Administration and Public Governance students at Tilburg Law School. The chamber forms the link between the students and the university. Both informal and formal activities are organized from different angles, such as the field, society and the study. This is mainly facilitated by committee members who, together with the board members, form an active constituency within Magister JFT.

On 7 March 1985 the study association Juribes was founded. By means of a study association students could better represent their interests. Moreover, there was a need for an association for Juridical Public Administration students, so they could organize and attend both formal and informal activities. The name 'Juribes' was taken from the name of the Juridische Bestuurskunde study programme. In the meantime the name of the programme has been changed to Public Administration and the English-language study Public Governance also falls under the umbrella of the chamber. In 2002-2003 the de Ridder Committee published its report. This report contained a proposal to merge all the small study associations that existed at Tilburg Law School into one large study association, the Magister Juridische Faculteitsvereniging Tilburg. Since then, Magister JFT I Juribes has served as its chamber.
