Altijd al willen zien hoe de Mobiele Eenheid (ME) optreedt bij grote verstoringen van de openbare orde? Tijdens het Rellen tegen de ME krijg je een unieke kans om dat van dichtbij mee te maken. De ME is een speciale eenheid van de politie die wordt ingezet bij bijvoorbeeld rellen, grote demonstraties of andere situaties waarin de openbare orde moet worden hersteld.
Tijdens deze activiteit helpen wij de politie met een training op de Politieacademie. Als deelnemer speel je de rol van demonstrant, zodat de ME realistisch kan oefenen met verschillende scenario’s. Tijdens de oefening ga je onder andere houten blokken naar de ME gooien, figureren tijdens ontruiming en als groep tegenspel bieden, zodat de eenheid kan trainen op het omgaan met een onrustige menigte.
Op 1 april vertrekken we ’s ochtends met een bus vanaf de universiteit naar de Politieacademie🚨. De politie zorgt bovendien voor een lunch gedurende de dag.

Have you always wanted to see how the ME (Dutch rioting police) responds to major disturbances of public order? During Rioting against the ME, you will have a unique opportunity to experience this up close. The ME is a special police unit that is deployed during riots, large demonstrations, or other situations in which public order must be restored.
During this activity, we will assist the police with training at the Police Academy. As a participant, you will play the role of a demonstrator, allowing the ME to practice various scenarios in a realistic setting. During the exercise, you will throw wooden blocks at the ME, act as extras during an evacuation, and provide resistance as a group, allowing the unit to train in dealing with a restless crowd.
On April 1, we will leave in the morning by bus from the university to the Police Academy. The police will also provide lunch during the day.
